FILIPINO II [PLUMA] Wika at Panitikan pare sa Mataas na Paaralan)
Ang aklat na ito, Florante at Laura ni Francisco Balagtas, Isang Napapanahong Pagtalakay,ay sasagot sa pangangailangang ito ng mga mag- aaral. Gayundin, nakapokus ang awit na ito sa pagtataguyod ng idealisadong pagtingin sa pamilya, lipunan, at kahalagahan ng pananampalataya bilang aspekto sa pagbabagong- tatag ng daigdig na ating ginagalawan. Itinataguyod din dito ang alternatibong pagtugon sa pakikidigma o pakikipagtunggali- ang pagpapatawad, pakikipag- usap at pagpaparaya sa Diyos, ang paghahatol at pagpaparusa, at higit sa lahat, ang pananaig ng kabutihan laban sa kasamaan. Sa pamamagitan ng mga aktibidades na makikita sa bawat paksa, ang mga mag-aaral ay higit na matututo at malilibang sa pagbabasa lalo na ng mga kuwentong my aral na kapupulutan.
Ang PLUMA Wika at Panitikan para sa Mataas na Paaralan (Ikalawang Edisyon) ay isang serye ng pinagsanib na aklat sa Wika at Panitikan na naglalayong malinang ang iba't ibang kasanayang pangkomunikasyon tulad ng pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, at pagsulat. Ito rin ay nagtataguyod ng mga kalinangan na dapat pagtuunanan ng pansin ng mga guro at mga mag-aaral. Ang mga paksa, Gawain, at pagsasanay sa seryeng ito ay sadyang iniangkop sa kakayahan at interes ng mga mag- aaral upang ang pagkatuto ay maging integratibo, makabuluhan, napapanahon, kawili-wili, at nakalilinang ng kritikal at mapanuring pag- iisip.
ENGLISH II (English Communication Arts & Skills Through Afro-Asian Literature II)
Afro-Asian Literature II
It seeks to present an integrated approach to the study of English by using literature to portray it as a living language. It also gives situational approach that introduces real-life situations within the experiential background of the youth through the literary pieces that will help the students to relate to situations new to them.
It aims to give and use properly the materials on the natural sciences, arts, and the ideals and goals of a reformist society, as well as by discussing such issues as environmental awareness, peace, education, and the like.
In addition, students will learn not only the pleasures of reading, of entering into a new world, and of having imagination and emotions stimulated, but they will also learn one important object and that is, to know the human being which will help them to enrich their lives.
MATHEMATICS II (Math for Engage Learning Intermediate Algebra II)
This course provides opportunities for the students to become creative in solving the problems, confident in reasoning and communicating mathematically, and responsible to learn on their own.
In this course students will learn the following:
- They will learn how to solve systems of equations and inequalities that contain two variables. These systems will prepare them to face the real-world situations in fields like science, education, engineering, and business.
- They will also learn how to solve quadratic equations using a variety of methods. This will help them to solve any quadratic equation that they can extend to solve higher-degree equations, which they can use to classify the solutions of quadratic equations. Finally, they can apply these new knowledge to formulate solutions for the problems.
- Furthermore, students will learn variations, integral and rational exponents, radical expressions, sequences and series that will help them identify common errors committed in solving problems involving rational expressions, assess one's own performance in doing different tasks, and show alternative solutions in solving certain problems. Through these activities, students will learn to appreciate and value Math in their daily living.
Multimedia is a media that uses a combination of different content forms. The term can be used as a noun (a medium with multiple content forms) or as an adjective describing a medium as having multiple content forms. The term is used in contrast to media which only use traditional forms of printed or hand-produced material. Multimedia includes a combination of text, audio, still images, animation, video, and interactivity content forms.
SCIENCE II (Biology II)
Biology is a very interesting topic that explains on what and how the living organisms are growing and developing. These explain to the students about the basic facts about -the nature of biology; the interactions inside the organism; the interrelationships among organisms; and their interactions with the environment. This will help the students to show social awareness and also includes activities that may tickle the student's imagination and encourage them to explore more the wonderful world of biology.
HISTORY II (Asian History II)
This course shows important historical events in Asia that the students will learn and enjoy. It also deals with all important lessons with proper and suitable explanation and instructional activities.
In addition, this will attend to the needs of the students in studying history as well as aid the teachers in delivering and facilitating instructional materials with the greatest participation of the students.
This course is divided into four parts: the first part focuses on the importance and functions of the History. The second part leads to the discovery of the ancient civilization of the world that shaped the Asian society. The third part focuses on the invasion of the Europeans in Asia and effects to the culture and history of Asian countries. And the fourth part focuses on the present situation of Asia.
CHRISTIAL LIVING II (Called to Meet Christ in Scripture Church, Sacraments)
This course covers the Books of the New Testament. Learners will discover and be closer to who really Jesus is. Love of God and His Kingdom is the center of this course. Jesus Christ' passion, death and resurrection are the exposure of the sophomore students. The proclamation of the Gospel: the main mission of al "He sent me to bring the good news to the poor, tell prisoners that they are prisoners no more…" The life of Jesus will be inculcated to their day to day life.

The first part of the course discusses about home economics in general, it includes learning about home management, family budget, and ways on how to cut family's expenditures, proper food for different age of people, meal preparation and table setting. These lessons will prepare the students in the future in case they will become parents someday. The next part of the course will be about agriculture, fish production to be exact. The whole second semester will focus on the fish capture, familiarizing the students about the different types of fish suitable for backyard pond. It will help the students to be encouraged to give importance to fish production which may serve as a future business for them in the future.
The course focuses on Asian- Philippines, Japan, China, and Korea type of music and musical instrument. This discusses the uses of music in their own culture and the distinctive characteristics and sound of the instruments. Furthermore, students will understand the meaning of different Philippine folk songs, and discover the richness of Philippine industry. They will also understand and discover the musical characteristics of other Asian nations and their musical instruments.
This course assists the students to develop understanding and sensitivity to arts and cultures of Asian society. It helps the students to distinguish the similarities and differences between Asian art and Philippine art. Students will appreciate the ethnic and unique characteristics of Asian art forms by viewing one's own art production. They will also learn different dances in the Philippines and execute them according to the rhythm with proper poise, movement, and balance.
This course intends to obtain the development of physical fitness by means of exercising, proper training program, and gymnastic stretching. Students will learn and appreciate the different kinds of dances, and make use of them in recreational activities. Through these, they will experience and appreciate Filipino native games and international events which will help them to enhance knowledge in different kinds of sports.
This course is composed of four parts: the first part focuses on the Health problem in the community which will aid them to analyze and be aware of the solutions regarding health problems. The second part focuses on the population growth. The third part focuses on the first aid that will lead and make them be attentive of the different accidents happening in the community or society. And the last part focuses on drug addiction that will help them to distinguish the appropriate solutions for the problems of teenagers that lead them to drug addiction.
